Healthy Hair

When the scalp is in poor condition, it can interfere with the condition and growth of the hair for several reasons. Any scale on the scalp hinders the flow of the skins natural oil, called sebum, over the scalp and along the hair shaft, making the hair dull, dry and brittle. When scale is removed from the scalps surface, sebum begins to flow along the hair shaft, so the scalp becomes less oily, ands the hair greatly benefits from this natrual skin oil.

The difference between hair covered in oil and scale as a result of an unhealthy scalp vs healthy hair.

Secondly, a physical blocking of hair follicles by scale can interrupt and slow hair growth, so clearing this scale frequently allows the hair to grow better.

Good general health, exercise, drinking plenty of water, and getting enough sleep always help to improve any type of scalp problem.

Your hair and scalp are greatly affected by what you eat, so try to have a healthy, well-balanced diet. If you eat poor-quality food, you can expect poor-quality hair. Fatty foods can also exacerbate scalp problems such as dandruff and an oily scalp, so try to limit your intake.

Wash your hair regularly. Like other parts of your body, your hair and scalp need to be clean to keep them healthy and to look their best. It is a myth that washing your hair is bad for it- it is not! The opposite is true. If you wash your hair daily, one lather will be enough.

Avoid low- cost shampoos. Most are inexpensive because they are made with harsh detergents that irritate your scalp and can makw your hair dry, dull and brittle.
